People in Australia often reduce some words, creating a range of slangs. Besides that, there is a 
vast number of words and expressions that are unique to each English speaking country and some 
of these differences may cause misunderstandings. Just as there are also many differences

some examples: 
‘Barbecue’ becomes ‘barbie’; ‘afternoon’ is ‘arvo’; ‘football’ is just ‘footy’ (it can also refer to rugby
